B. Research: Ph.D., Edinburgh University, worked with Prof. C. Auerbach, FRS, on the problems of chemical mutagenesis, heteroduplex repair and unstable genes in fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. 1963-1966.
At the Biology and Health Physics Division of Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories on the questions related to radiation-induced mutations and DNA repair in yeast, Postdoctoral year. 1966-1967

Research on various aspects of the mechanisms of mutagenesis, heteroduplex repair and unstable genes in yeast at National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, 1973-July 1989.
Research studies related to gene transfer within different yeasts. This approach involved the techniques of strain improvement, protoplast fusion, transformation and gene cloning.
